Internal Security - second-cycle studies (master's degree)

WSPiA Rzeszowska Szkoła Wyższa has been educating students in the field of "INTERNAL SECURITY" practically from the beginning of its existence - i.e. for over 25 years. At the beginning it was a speciality in the "administration" field. Later, it became an independent bachelor's degree course.

In 2014, WSPiA was the first university in the region and one of a dozen in Poland to be authorised to offer second-cycle studies in this specialisation. Two years later, the first people with a master's degree in internal security left the walls of our university. This testifies to the high level, excellent staff and very good preparation of "INTERNAL SECURITY" studies at WSPiA.

What does the course "INTERNAL SECURITY" at WSPiA offer?

First of all, we offer you an excellent, attractive and adapted to the needs of the labour market didactic offer.You can choose one of 7 specialisations:

  • cyber security

  • public security protection services,

Practice is key

The programme of studies for the second cycle of the "INTERNAL SECURITY" degree offers many interesting practical classes, including conversation classes, exercises, workshops, practical labs, simulated crime scene inspections conducted by experienced practitioners. Students also learn using an interactive Internet threat simulator allowing them to create and combat threats in cyberspace, a virtual crime scene simulator "Cyber Crime" and decision-making games on procedures for authorities and services in emergency situations.

A new offer is the 'Security Clinic'. This is a class in which you are the lecturer and, under the guidance of a practitioner, you solve case studies, discuss and teach other students. Your activity in these classes is rewarded with additional points within the Education MIX.

As a second-degree student in the course "INTERNAL SECURITY" at our University, you will learn the secrets of your profession under the guidance of top-class professionals, mainly practitioners. Exercises and lectures are conducted by, among others:

One tuition fee, many opportunities

The main principle at WSPiA Rzeszowska Szkoła Wyższa is that the University does not charge any additional fees apart from the tuition fee, and within the fee you receive many additional opportunities for your own development. It is also worth noting here that the second-cycle studies in the field of "INTERNAL SECURITY" at WSPiA are the cheapest offer in Subcarpathia.

This price also includes a Supplementary Education Voucher (BED), thanks to which you will only pay for one semester of selected postgraduate studies.

Building for your course of study

For the purposes of the course "INTERNAL SECURITY" WSPiA has built a modern facility called "Collegium Securitatis".

This building houses, among other things:

- Poland's most modern and well-equipped (at a cost of more than PLN 1 million) Podkarpackie Centre of Forensic Science, Criminology and Forensic Medicine - (see virtual walk around this place);

- an innovative - the first in the Subcarpathian Region and the third in Poland - "Cyber Crime" laboratory, thanks to which students learn in virtual reality how to inspect a crime scene and analyse the traces found.

- the only university polygraph/wariograph in the Subcarpathia region - commonly referred to as a lie detector;

- the first modern university electronic shooting range in Subcarpathia;

- a full-size, multifunctional sports hall with an auditorium (see virtual tour of this place);

- practice rooms for physical education and various martial arts (see virtual walk around this place);

- a gym that you can use for free (see virtual walk around this place);

– a police fitness test track - which prepares you for police entrance exams, among other things.

Studies that give you a job

INTERNAL SECURITY at WSPiA offers many perspectives and opportunities, and graduates of our University do very well on the labour market. This is shown by the results of the latest survey of the Economic Fate of Graduates. The data shows that almost 96 per cent of the graduates of second-cycle studies, e.g. on the INTERNAL SECURITY course, at WSPiA find work after graduation. These are the best results in Podkarpacie. In terms of earnings, WSPiA also ranked top in the region. Graduates of second-cycle studies on the "WEALTH SECURITY" faculty at WSPiA can count on a salary of PLN 2,700 immediately after their studies, and it takes less than 2 months for a graduate of this faculty to look for a full-time job.
